Karen Tuttle is a revolutionary viola teacher. She developed the concept of "Co-ordination" which enables the
musician to incorporate physical health together with musical
expression into one unified method. She was a student of William
Primrose and the teacher of Kim Kashkashian. This study "Karen Tuttle's Heritage: the Theory and Practice of Co-ordination"
is a booklet which is paired with a DVD of interviews with her, and
explanation of a mixture of Karen Tuttle and Kim Kashkashian's ways of
playing and teaching the viola, including sample lessons.
